Lost Yourself in The Rejuvenating Crystal Spa

Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine once referred to essential oils as an effective elements to cure anxiety and depression.

Infused with massage therapy, the Greeks believe in its miraculous stress relieving benefits to one’s body.

Today, the aromatheraphy massage is live and well in Crystal Spa at the Lost World of Tambun, and the writer had a personal and firsthand experience of having her perfect massage within the hotspring vicinity.

The writer was greeted with a cold steamed towel that was releasing pure lavender scent into the air.

Then, the writer was asked several compulsory pre- massage questions to avoid any complications due to allergies, muscles or body parts injuries.

The Crystal Spa Huts

In Crystal Spa, there are four huts for variety of massages and therapy according to each preferences, and two beds were placed in each hut.

Stepping into the serene structure of the tranquil hut complimented with classical music, the writer can sense hints of peppermint that is actually an element high in natural menthol.

According to my therapist, Nurul Atiqah Yang Aminuddin,23, the scent aids pain relief and cools the body while increasing blood circulation.

“Research shows that it also stimulates area of the brain that releases noradrenalin, making people perform tasks more effectively.

Atiqah also explained that the massage is specifically designed to promote circulation with the warming blend with AromaTherapy including lavender, combination of tropical flowers petals, which helps tissue recovery after physical exertion.

“Additionally, the unique combination of aromatics are traditionally used to decrease pain in muscles and joints besides the circular soft motion that helps reduce nervousness, irritability and apprehension,”.

From the writer own experience, the calming properties of chamomile and ulpifting aromas of citrus really does calms the mind and helps with a restful sleep.

The Magical Aromatherapeutic Massage

My treatment begins with a full body therapeutic massage in a room filled with lavender and orange scented essential oils which act as an anti depressant and mood enhancer as well as citrus which also acts as a lungs detoxifier.

This was followed by a pampering of the therapist warm fingers at the back of my body.

Soft infusion of marine minerals in natural essential oils was used to hydrate and promote vital energy for the aching body.

Feeling silky smooth and sparklingly vibrant, I was then soothed into a soporific state, with an aromatherapy massage under the magical fingers of my therapist.

The result? Pure tranquility.
